For people who practice 30 minutes a day, 3-5 days a week, with moderate intensity, it takes about 1-2 months to be able to play beginner guitar songs and about 3-6 months to be able to confidently play intermediate and slightly advanced songs with technical elements.
Overall, learning the electric guitar is a good choice even if you are a beginner.
